Rutas de lectura. Guía para trabajar los álbumes ilustrados en el aula (Reading Routes. Guide to working with picture books in the classroom) is a methodological guide with proposals for working on the shared reading of picture books at school, as a meeting point between the daily life of students and the learning bases foreseen in the primary education curriculum. It is free, downloadable material in pdf format, which forms part of a wider project involving all sectors of the book world: education, families, bookshops, libraries, publishers… The Routes are independent chapters that can be read and consulted in a non-linear way. Several Spanish publishers of children’s and young people’s literature collaborate in the project. All the Routes have transversal didactic potential, but it is worth highlighting Route 3 (Communication for research), which proposes ideas for using picture books to carry out information search tasks, also taking advantage of the school library, as well as tasks of reflection on information, management and communication of information, in relation to the idea of Proyectos Documentales Integrados (Integrated Documentary Projects), a resource also included in this portal.
