NewsWise

News literacy lesson plans and resources making up a complete, free, downloadable unit of work in 15 lessons, with guides on bringing news literacy to life in the classroom; teaching news safely; and displaying materials and videos of journalists talking about their roles. A fuller package, also free, is also available for qualifying schools with high rates of free school meals. The package includes a workshop led by the NewsWise team, teacher training, opportunities to work with journalists and National Literacy Trust membership. NewsWise has produced evaluation reports for each of its years of existence since 2018 (7-11 yrs)
