ETWINNING – Enjoying Coding (2021)

eTwinning is the largest community of teachers and schools in Europe. It is an Action funded by the European Commission and part of the Erasmus+ Program which allows all school teachers in the participating countries to access an online collaboration and networking platform, which provides innovative tools for virtual meeting with other colleagues, in order to exchange ideas, methodologies and best practices, take advantage of professional development activities and activate distance learning projects with foreign and non-foreign partners. The awarded Enjoying Coding project, which began with the participation in EuCodeWeek 2020, was based on one of the core principles of civic education teaching: digital citizenship education. The project has allowed the children to develop computational thinking and to promote the ability to use virtual means of communication consciously and in a responsible way, knowing their risks and potentials.
