La fuga (our translation: The Escape) tells the story of Narciso. He throws a peanut in the air, spins around five times, catches the peanut and delicately puts it in his mouth. For 1,825 days in a row, Narciso has repeated the same performance in the circus… and he can’t take it anymore! He has decided to run away, but the plans to do so don’t seem to be working out. What if what he lacks is simply a little more self-esteem?
This work could serve as a starting point for addressing the confinement and exploitation of animals.
